Gachiakuta Anime’s English Dub To Stream Simultaneously In US & Canada, Cast Revealed

Crunchyroll announced that the English dub of the upcoming Gachiakuta anime will stream simultaneously with the Japanese release in the U.S. and Canada starting July 6.

In addition to the release date, the streaming giant also announced the English voice cast for the anime.

Bryson Baugus, who fans recognize as the voice of Shoyo Hinata from Haikyu!, will voice the protagonist, Rudo.

The voice cast also features Christopher Wehkamp as Enjin, Corey Wilder as Zanka, Katie Caruso as Riyo, Zeno Robinson as Jabber, and John Burgmeier as Regto.

Additionally, fans in the US can catch the exclusive premiere of the first two episodes of Gachiakuta anime on July 4 at Anime Expo taking place in Los Angeles.

The event is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. PDT and will be followed by a panel with the manga’s creators and the anime’s producer.

Gachiakuta follows Rudo’s journey in a wasteland known as “The Pit,” where he must fight against monstrous creatures called Trash Beasts to survive and seek vengeance.

The animation is produced by Bones Film, with Fumihiko Suganuma making his directorial debut with the series.

The production staff includes Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen) as the writer for the series composition, Satoshi Ishino (Date A Live) as the character designer and chief animation director, and Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs) as the composer.

The anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Kei Urana with graffiti design by Hideyoshi Andou.

The manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022, was a recipient of the Global Special Prize in the Comics category of the Next Manga Awards in 2022.

Before the streaming debut, a special U.S. premiere will be held at Anime Expo in Los Angeles.
