Crunchyroll announced that the English dub of the upcoming Gachiakuta anime will stream simultaneously with the Japanese release in the U.S. and Canada starting July 6.

In addition to the release date, the streaming giant also announced the English voice cast for the anime.

Bryson Baugus, who fans recognize as the voice of Shoyo Hinata from Haikyu!, will voice the protagonist, Rudo.

The voice cast also features Christopher Wehkamp as Enjin, Corey Wilder as Zanka, Katie Caruso as Riyo, Zeno Robinson as Jabber, and John Burgmeier as Regto.

Additionally, fans in the US can catch the exclusive premiere of the first two episodes of Gachiakuta anime on July 4 at Anime Expo taking place in Los Angeles.

The event is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. PDT and will be followed by a panel with the manga’s creators and the anime’s producer.

Gachiakuta follows Rudo’s journey in a wasteland known as “The Pit,” where he must fight against monstrous creatures called Trash Beasts to survive and seek vengeance.

The animation is produced by Bones Film, with Fumihiko Suganuma making his directorial debut with the series.

The production staff includes Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen) as the writer for the series composition, Satoshi Ishino (Date A Live) as the character designer and chief animation director, and Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray Dogs) as the composer.

The anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Kei Urana with graffiti design by Hideyoshi Andou.

The manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022, was a recipient of the Global Special Prize in the Comics category of the Next Manga Awards in 2022.

Before the streaming debut, a special U.S. premiere will be held at Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

Kei Urana & Hideyoshi Andou To Attend Anime Expo 2025’s Gachiakuta Panel

Gachiakuta is set for a massive presence at Anime Expo 2025, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 3-6.

Kodansha has confirmed that the manga’s author, Kei Urana, and graffiti designer, Hideyoshi Andou, will be attending as special guests for panels at AX2025.

Fans will have multiple opportunities to see and interact with both Urana and Andou.

The main creator panel is scheduled for July 3, 2025 from 4:15 PM to 5:05 PM in room 403AB.

This event will feature a live drawing session, a Q&A with both creators, and a showcase of the inspirations behind the upcoming Gachiakuta animated series by BONES Film.

This panel will only have limited seats so attendees will have to come early to attend the event.

This will be followed by the Gachiakuta’s US Anime Premiere in the Platinum Ballroom from 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM.

After the screening, once again a special panel will be held with Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou, who will be joined this time by BONES Film Producer Naoki Amano.

Beyond the panels, Gachiakuta will have a large-scale booth on the show floor.

A central attraction will be a 3D art sculpture of the protagonist Rudo’s glove, made from scrap materials to represent the series’ theme of finding value in what is discarded.

The booth will also feature numerous activities, including life-sized character photo spots, a Gachapon machine for social media followers, and a giant “Drop the Claw” crane game where winners can receive event-exclusive items.

The booth will also have a giant LED monitor screening special footage, including a collaboration video between Gachiakuta and GHOST IN THE SHELL.

Other exhibits, such as replica original art, are planned, with more details to be announced on the day of the event.
